IBS Job 6:14 “He who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.” I came across this verse because at first, I was having to do a bible study on kindness, and this verse stuck out to me. And then we were having to look up promises in the bible and again this one came up. The first thing I noticed was that its an action, you have a choice to not show kindness which also means that we have a choice to be kind to others. But I know for me I’m not always consciously checking to make sure I am showing kindness, and sometimes we are just so done that we don’t choose kindness for one reason or another. When we do that it shows that we don’t fear God. It shows that we think our actions are always right and we don’t have to be considerate about them. In reality it shows how much pride is in out hearts, even if you think you are hiding it, sooner or later the pride will come out. This is a good verse that I want to keep in my mind and apply it in my daily life becaus

IBS 2 Timothy 1:7-9 “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who saved us and called us to a holly calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.” Why would we even come close to being ashamed of God? But this verse can hit home in so many ways and is such a good reminder to be bold for Him. I was thinking of what it will be like to go home after this program, and how l will act around my old friends, and I instantly was thinking of how I will describe my experience here, and what their reactions would be if I talk about God. That’s when I remembered this verse and felt convicted. Because it showed where my heart was in that moment. In that moment I was more concerned and worried about if people would like me more the

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”   This is a good verse about being in the will of God. God might call you to serve at home or He might call you to a new place. In both situations it can be a cause for fear if you forget that that is where God is placing you for that time. Going to a new place can be frightening because it is all new, language, culture, people, but it can be an adventure and a fresh start. Staying put can be hard because everything stays the same. People already know you and you feel like you are not stepping out in faith, but you can use that situation to honor the Lord also. The most important thing to remember is that if God is calling you somewhere or you think He is, no matter where God will be with right there with you. He will give you the courage to be strong and stand firm even when you feel discouraged. That is one of the most
