Mark 4:10-11 " Later, when Jesus was alone with the twelve disciples and with the others who were gathered around, they asked him what the parables meant. He replied, 'You are permitted to understand the secret of the Kingdom of God. `But I use parables for everything I say to outsiders, (vs 12) so that the scriptures might be fulfilled.'"

You don't realize how important it is to be a student and teachable, until you start reading about the disciples. Its easy to think that you are supposed to just some how know every thing about God and the bible and you feel some what guilty if you don't know it all. But that is such a backwards way of thinking. God wants to teach us and He wants us to know the secrets of heaven. Which is so cool that the creator of this world wants us in on the secrets, it doesn't mean that we are equals with God but that He wants to share His joy with us. How unique is it that He states that the reason He does some things is so that the scriptures are fulfilled? This brings so much accuracy to the bible and helps me trust Him more. This shows that He cares about the details and if He cares about those details He will care about the small details in your own life. He doesn't just fix the big things and then disappear, He is with us forever and if you let Him He is always making you into the person He wants you to be. So I think it is important that from this we learn to care about the small things also and not just shove them under the rug, but to deal with them before it becomes a bigger problem.

Application:
I will look for small tasks I can do to bless my room mates and team mate.

John 12:26 "Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me." How honored would we be to be servants of the one true God. And we are, He chose us to be His servants, that's such a blessing and an honor. IBS Week 1

Matthew 8:9-10 “I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, “Go,” and they go, or “Come,” and they come. And if I say to my slaves, “Do this,” they do it. When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “ I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel! “ (NLT) Reading this I get convicted because in the past there has been times where I heard God say go but I chose not to because it would have been out of my comfort zone. Even now there are still times where I question Gods decisions but I know thats not what He wants for me, so little by little I have been trying to trust when God says go and I go. For instence when I heard the call to go to Ignite and said yes to the Lord, that decision has helped me grow deeper in my faith with Him. Matthew 5:45 “So that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” I never gave this verse much thought, yes I was taught to always be thankful for the little things. But when I took a closer look to this passage it made me even more grateful. For me I always knew the sun would rise and set with everyday, that’s what is has done all of my life so why would it be any different? God doesn’t have to make the sun rise and set, He can make it stand still like in the book of Joshua. But even though we aren’t grateful He still allows this. This is a picture of God's grace because we need the sun for plants to grow and without the sun we could not survive very long, because we would run out of nutritious food.
