1 Peter 4:7 " The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers."

It really does seem like the world is going to end soon with all the earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, and so much more. This should make us excited because that means Jesus is coming back soon. We should be pressing into the Lord more and one way to do that is by prayer. It can be hard to have a disciplined prayer life. I know for me I can get distracted in the middle of a prayer and start thinking of some random thing that doesn't even matter or bring honor to the Lord. It can be hard but when we do pray we really do see the fruits that come from talking with the Lord. A way that the Lord has been working on me in my prayer life is to pray about praying so that its truly meaning full. Also that I would learn to listen in the midst of my prayers, because I tend to ramble and forget that prayer is a two way radio not just me throwing everything at the Lord and not expecting an answer. So trying to in the middle of prayers just be expectant that Jesus will respond and to calm my mind and to just wait on the Lords response has been a trial in its self because I want an answer now but Hes saying to just wait.

I will pray about waiting.

Matthew 8:9-10 “I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, “Go,” and they go, or “Come,” and they come. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “ I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel! “ (NLT) Reading this I get convicted because in the past there has been times where I heard God say go but I chose not to because it would have been out of my comfort zone. Even now there are still times where I question Gods decisions but I know thats not what He wants for me, so little by little I have been trying to trust when God says go and I go. For instence when I heard the call to go to Ignite and said yes to the Lord, that decision has helped me grow deeper in my faith with Him. Matthew 5:45 “So that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” I never gave this verse much thought, yes I was taught to always be thankful for the little things. But when I took a closer look to this passage it made me even more grateful. For me I always knew the sun would rise and set with everyday, that’s what is has done all of my life so why would it be any different? God doesn’t have to make the sun rise and set, He can make it stand still like in the book of Joshua. But even though we aren’t grateful He still allows this. This is a picture of God's grace because we need the sun for plants to grow and without the sun we could not survive very long, because we would run out of nutritious food.
