IBS week 7.4

Romans 15:1 "We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves."

When our eyes are focused on just our selves we end up not even thinking about how others might feel about certain situations, and think that if I'm fine with it then others must be also or they need to learn to be okay with it. But that's not always the case because we don't know whats truly going on in every ones lives and we don't know what God is working on in that person. This goes back to when I was younger and my mom would say "think before you speak" we shouldn't just say whatever comes to our minds without first thinking about how others might take it. It can be hard to be sensitive to certain things when your whole life it hasn't been a problem. But this is where we need to continue to die to self more and look out side of your self because you could be witnessing to others without even knowing it. And your actions could portray God wrong and turn people away from hearing anything about Christ. Its easy to get caught up in the moment but that's when we need to take a step back and see if this is pleasing to God or not and then change your actions.

Application: Today I will not make any sarcastic or sassy comments because it could be taken the wrong way by others.
